Questions about Your Browser?
Most websites today including the national site at http://www.myasthenia.org/ and our website here for the Northwest Texas Chapter is best viewed at a resolution of 1024 x 768 or higher. If you use a resolution of 800 x 600 and don't want to have to scroll back and forth to see the full page, just go to the "Display Properties" settings for your monitor and change the resolution. If you don't want to change your settings, the site will display fine in Internet Explorer but not in Firefox. See IE instructions below to make needed adjustments.
Internet Explorer
In Internet Explorer with a resolution of 800 x 600, your pages may load with columns off to the right and the print may be rather large. To correct this, hold the "Ctrl" key and click "-" once or twice. Everything should line up for you. If the print is too small, click "View" on the browser toolbar...click "Text Size" and select a larger text size.
Firefox
If the website doesn't filll your monitor at a resolution of 1024 x 768, hold "Ctrl" and click "+" until your viewing space is where you like it.
If your text is too small , click "View" on the browser toolbar...click "Zoom"...select "Zoom Text Only". You can then hold "Ctrl" and press the "+" until you get the text size that is best for you.
Allow Blocked Content?
We use a feature that opens photos on top of the page you are viewing. This prevents a new page opening and your having to click back on the browser each time you view a photo.
Also, all of our historical documents are created so that they can be viewed in "Silverlight" which allows you to zoom in close to read every word of these documents.
Depending on your settings, IE may pop up with the following statement: To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this webpage from running scripts or ActiveX controls that could access your computer. Click here for options...

What's the Risk?
Information Bar Help
Just click Allow Blocked Content since you are on a trusted site. If you choose not to, you should be able to still view the photos but not the historical documents.
